In our mission to use data for good, RS21 has developed the Urban Health Vulnerability Index (UHVI) to help local governments and health planners identify urban populations at high risk for COVID-19, including older adults and people with serious medical conditions, such as heart disease, diabetes, and lung disease. This tool:
- Uncovers which parts of our communities could be most affected by a COVID-19 outbreak.
- Allows local governments to anticipate where resources may be needed the most.
- Provides important information about a community’s access to healthcare.
For more information on COVID-19, please visit the Centers for Disease Control website.
To provide cities and health officials with the most useful information, RS21 is taking requests for information mapping. Please contact RS21, info@rs21.io, to discuss adding features and cities based on your needs.
